Surgical Technologist
Permanent/Full-Time
Day Shift
Job Description:
This is a full time, Mon thru Fri position, with rotation of call including weekends and holidays.
The Surgical Tech works as part of the surgical team under the direction of surgeons or registered nurses. The Surgical Tech contributes to the safety and efficiency of the surgical team by performing a wide variety of tasks before, during, and after operations.
This position involves all aspects of the Surgical Dept, including but not limited to, the following:
- Knowledge of preparations of the operating room by setting up instruments and equipment, draping- Understanding the tasks required for different surgical procedures
- Endoscopy procedures.
- Sterilization and cleaning of the surgical areas
- Good physical and mental condition to perform under pressure in stressful and emergency situations including manual dexterity and stamina
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ yr experience in the OR setting
- BLS
