 DESCRIPTION
Plans, organizes, and directs the administrative and technical activities of the unit/department, including personnel management, financial management, strategic outreach to physicians, and administrative functions that relate to quality patient-care services. Creates an effective working relationship with all levels of staff and peers, represents the department on institutional committees, develops long-range objectives, and prepares for any changes in healthcare delivery. The Director translates strategies into day-to-day operations Participates with administration leaders, medical staff and clinical representatives in developing Cottage Health’s mission, strategic plans, budgets, resource allocation, community outreach, operation plans and policy making decisions and takes action consistent with the accepted standards and values of the hospital. Operates department in compliance with Joint Commission and/or other regulatory agency requirements. Oversees the management of assigned department budgets including capital, personnel and expense budgets.  Participates in developing and implementing mechanisms for collaboration between staff members, physicians, and other clinical practitioners.
Requirements: 
Current California RN License Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing  
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification 
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and practices.Knowledge of supervisory theories, principles, practices, techniques, and methods. 

5 years of progressively responsible clinical/administrative experience or comparable experience that provides knowledge and skills essential to the position responsibilities-Ambulatory/Out Patient Surgery Experience

Position Summary:

Position is Full Time with a 5:8’s schedule.

Patient load is 16-18 patients per day.

Education/Training/Experience:

Graduate of accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.

License/Certifications:

Current California RN and NP License or PA License

Current certification in BCLS.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

At least two years background in GI is required.

Job Description: We are looking for a Full-time Permanent Operating Room Department Head. Salary is dependent on experience.  Reports to Director of Nursing Position Summary: Responsible for direction of patient care in the operative environment. Manages staff members in the ambulatory surgery, surgery, PACU, Central Supply and Endoscopy departments. Ensures that policies and procedures are followed to ensure patient needs are met. Responsible for the budget process and fiscal management of the departments. Qualifications: RN licensed in State of Montana BSN Preferred BCLS, ACLS, PALS certifications At least 5 years experience in Surgical Nursing with 2 years nursing management experience.
