Job Description:
Administers and supervises all aspects of patient care in the OR, GI station, Ambulatory Surgery, Post Anesthesia Care Unit and Pain Care. Assigns duties to professional nursing and non-professional personnel and supervises and evaluates their work performances. Assures the care and safety of patients at all times. Sets up standards of asepsis in the OR with Infection Control Practitioner.
Supervises preparation of accurate patient records pertaining to patient care activities. Reviews and approves all work calls and schedules.
Job Requirements:
- BSN or BS in Healthcare related field required; Masters preferred
- Active FL license required
- CNOR Certification preferred
- 5+ years experience as an assistant director of surgical services in a large acute facility or minimum of two years as a director in a similar role
