 Job Description:

Provides payroll services for all organizations within the hospital while reporting directly to the Finance Director, Financial Services.  Manages payroll shared services center processing over 407,000 payments to 25,000 executives, physicians, and hourly and salaried employees.  Responsible for all daily payroll operations.   Pays employees accurately, timely, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.  Directly oversees 11 staff members, and is responsible for ensuring their work output is satisfactory and their concerns are resolved.  Is responsible for all hiring and related personnel decisions, completing routine performance review evaluations, training, scheduling, and the like. Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management to properly allocate resources, evaluate and develop a strong team.

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in processing payroll
  • Management Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in account or finance
  • Experience managing and directing accounting and finance professionals
  • Experience processing payroll in a healthcare organization with over 10,000 employee
  • CPA or CPP preferred

Job Description:

Assures that coding and abstracting of all discharged patient types are completed within specified time frame. Control staffing and productivity requirements to ensure that all coding responsibilities and goals are met. Assures that the A130 is reviewed daily and reconciled. Ensures Kronos is updated daily to reflect accurate productivity. Assures that the coding staff has a 95% accuracy rate of assigning ICD-9-CM and CPT codes. Assures that the coding staff is following all coding guidelines. Assures that a 95% accuracy rate in DRG assignment per HCFA guidelines are assigned by the coding staff. Knowledge of all Coding computer systems to include the HPF and Cerner systems. Advanced knowledge of all coding guidelines as well as Tenet coding P&P’s.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • CCS required with RHIT/RHIA preferred.
  • 2+ yrs coder management experience
  • Hospital inpatient coding experience
