Job Description:
This is an onsite Coding Manager position. Manager will assure that coding and abstracting of all discharged patient types are completed within specified time frame. Assures that the A130 is reviewed daily and reconciled. Manager will select, train, and mentor high quality employees, promote positive working relationships, and assist in the evaluation of the coding program. Assures that the coding staff has a 95% accuracy rate of assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT codes. Assures that the coding staff is following all coding guidelines. Assures that a 95% accuracy rate in DRG assignment per HCFA guidelines are assigned by the coding staff.
Required Qualifications:
- ASN
- CCS required with RHIT/RHIA preferred
- 2+ yrs experience with inpatient coding in a hospital setting
