 Job Description:

Oversees day to day operations of clinical or research laboratory(s): Directs the administrative functions and customer service in area(s) of responsibility. Coordinates technical functions with technical coordinators/supervisors, directors and other hospital departments. Develops policies/procedures, oversees training programs, administers budgets, recommends capital equipment purchases, and ensures department meets established laboratory and hospital objectives and complies with regulatory guidelines. Ensures preparation for inspections, maintenance of accurate records, procedure manuals, record storage and monitors results of proficiency testing.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical lab science

5+ years Microbiology experience in a supervisory capacity

Certification by ASCP, AMT or NCA
