Job Description:
The Structural Heart Program Coordinator is responsible for program development and management that maintains an interdisciplinary approach to patient centered care. This position is responsible for providing leadership and facilitating all activities and services across the health system regarding care for patients with structural heart disorders. The incumbent of this position will coordinate patient care and evaluation, design and align resources to support program initiatives, program development, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external referring physicians, and development of a program database. Looking for an RN with a strong cardiovascular clinical background and a comprehensive understanding of structural heart anomalies and treatments of, including but not limited to the following: valvular heart disease, thoracic/abdominal aortic aneurysms, ASD/PFO, left atrial appendage occlusion, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is essential. This is a new position so this person will be involved with the development of the program.
Required Qualifications:
- BSN
- Active California RN License
- BLS
- 5+ yrs experience in Cardiovascular ICU or Cath Lab and understands the structural heart
- 3+ yrs experience in a hospital environment
