Job Description:
Looking for a seasoned Cardiac Cath Lab RN who will report to the Director of CCL and will provide quality nursing care for patients’ under-going Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. The Cardiac Cath Lab RN assumes principle responsibility for total care of assigned clients. Nursing functions include assisting in all special procedures performed in the CCL in a variety of roles. CCL Nurse will assist doctors in the preparation of patients for and in the performance of interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, valvulopasty, venous procedures, EP procedures and implantation of pacemakers/implantable cardioverter-defibrillators.
Required Qualifications:
- BSN
- Active Illinois State License
- 3+ yrs experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab
- BLS/ACLS
The CCL nurse must also have an advanced understanding of cardiac anatomy so duties can be carried out quickly and correctly.
