Types of patients you will see:

Medical PCU – Ventilated tracheostomy patients

Cardiac PCU – patients require various drips and rhythm monitoring

Surgical PCU – patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery, as well as vascular, thoracic and other surgical procedures

Medical PCU – stroke designated unit, where patients with neurologic problems are seen.

  • ASN
  • 2+ yrs Acute Care experience

  • Knowledgeable of all regulatory requirements including local, state and national regulations as well as DNV
  • BLS, ACLS, Fetal Monitoring

 Job Description:

Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory care with medical direction in the treatment, management, control and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary Care Services in the home, office, and outpatient setting in accordance with specific physician’s orders, and department policies and procedures. Serves as an interdisciplinary team member in the overall care management of sleep related breathing disorders patients, oxygen dependent, and tracheostomy patients including paperwork, pre-authorization, mask-fitting, pressure changes, assessments, and protocol intervention.

Job Requirements:

  • Current, active, Utah State license and valid (active) NBRC credential in good standing
  • 3+ years RT experience
  • ACLS
  • BLS/BCLS
  • RRT
