Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner provides routine care and management of the patient in collaboration with the supervising physician and through implementation of standardized procedures. Evaluates and treats patients related to specialty. Obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients. Performs or requests and evaluates diagnostic studies as indicated upon evaluation of the patient. Orders and furnishes medications. Initiates arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges and completes appropriate paperwork.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorates degree in nursing with certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Completed the NNP program
- Certification as California Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- BLS
- NRP Certification
- 1+ yr experience in specialty area
