Job Description:
Provides formal and informal education for nurses and other health professionals in the Emergency Department. The CNS incorporates and applies theories of nursing as well as a skill set of advanced knowledge, collaboration, consultation and education to improve care and impact delivery outcomes. Utilizes advanced knowledge and skills within the three major areas of the Clinical Nurse Specialist practice spheres: patient/family, nurses/nursing practice and organization/system.
Required Qualifications:
- MSN
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
- Current licensure as an APN
- 3+ yrs experience in a clinical acute care setting
- BLS/ACLS
