Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory care with medical direction in the treatment, management, control and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Supervises blood bank personnel in the performance of basic and advanced patient and donor tests including automated and manual test procedures and the interpretation of results to determine donor-recipient compatibility. Responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing policies, processes and procedures that address all aspects of immunohematology diagnostic testing. Consults and communicates with staff at Main Campus Blood Bank to help resolve technological and operational problems.
