JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all activities of Patient Access (registration and scheduling) within the Hospital and Medical Clinics to include: Clinic Appointments; Clinic / Hospital Registrations – check-in / check-out; IP Admission; Insurance eligibility / verification; and Patient Collections – Co-pays and AR balances. Support staff by acting as a resource in explaining procedures, interpreting policies, staff scheduling, taking weekend and after hours call, and assisting with other day-to-day problem solving tasks. Ensure that day-to-day operational tasks are completed; provide input into the development of departmental procedures; schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage in all areas. The Supervisor – Patient Access has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Revenue Cycle. This position will report to the Director of Revenue Cycle with input from the Clinic Practice Administrator.
